It significantly increased transparency and accountability, protecting police officers from fake reporting, producing new proofs for the Justice System to instrumentalize in its task of reducing the levels of lethal use of force. Part of Olho Vivo’s success is due to the involved staff’s efforts in studying and implementing it. On another note, highlighting questionable aspects of the current bidding of the program is fundamental if its success is to be maintained.
