Resumo
The Brazilian Public Security Forum is launching the 20th Brazilian Public Security Yearbook, the most comprehensive portrait of violence and security policies in the country. Data from 2025 reveal a Brazil in transition: the lowest rate of violent deaths since 2012—with the national homicide reduction target met two years ahead of schedule—coexists with record levels of police lethality, rising femicides, and an explosion in digital crimes. In an election year, the publication gathers evidence to inform the public debate on the security the country currently has—and the security it needs to build.
